Gásadalsgarður was built in 2017 and is a family-run business consisting of a farm, a café, and a guesthouse.

Gásadalsgarður is located on the island of Vágar, in the idyllic old village of Gásadalur, which has become world-famous for the breathtaking waterfall Múlafossur, one of the most photographed places in the Faroe Islands.

We offer a unique experience in one of the most beautiful locations in the Faroe Islands.

Here you can enjoy the view over the Atlantic Ocean, with Mykines and Tindhólmur in the background, and experience the wild, raw nature and fresh air.

In the café, we serve ræst soup (with fermented veal), Faroese rye bread with toppings, a fish platter, and cakes. We also sell coffee, tea, beer, and soft drinks.

What makes our café truly special is that in the autumn, it transforms into a slaughterhouse, where we process our own sheep and calves. For this innovative idea, we won the prestigious Innovation Award in 2018, presented by Íverksetarahúsið (the House of Entrepreneurs).
